Kaman）在吉他材料及工艺方面的革新取得了重要成功，体现了独特“圆底吉他”的Ovation吉他于1966年隆重登场，专业人士在为这种吉他的性能与饱满音色作欢迎的同时，也被这种吉他的惊人设计弄得摸不着头脑。\n\n60年代初，Charlie Kaman觉得应该尝试把先进的飞机制造技术用于其它产品的设计于生产，为自己的航空设备制造公司创造更大、更多元化的市场。一方面作为一名经验丰富的吉他手，他清楚吉他手到底想要的是什么，另一方面又因为在直升机螺旋浆制造方面的丰福经验，他比其它吉他制造商对振动有了更多的理解，“工程师在设计制造直升机时是想尽办法消除振动，而在设计制造吉他时却得想办法保持振动。”\n\n1964年，Charlie
